Status of compliance with the requirements
This website does not comply with the accessibility regulations applicable to us. Specifically:
Incompatibility with accessibility legislation
The contents listed below are not in accordance with the relevant legal regulations on
Accessibility compatible:
- Limited contrasts in individual design elements
- PDF documents are not always accessible
- Limited subtitling or audio description for embedded videos
- Partially missing ARIA markings to support screen readers
We are continuously working to identify these barriers and gradually eliminate them.
Disproportionate burden
The following content may currently be blocked due to disproportionate burdens in accordance with Art.
Directive (EU) 2016/2102 is not yet fully accessible:
- Complete barrier-free preparation of all existing PDF documents (e.g. older offer documents, menus, brochures), since subsequent adaptation of all files would involve considerable personnel and financial expenditure.
- Subsequent provision of audio descriptions for existing videos, as neither human nor technical resources are currently available for this.
We strive to offer newly created content as accessible as possible and to make existing content
to adapt gradually.
Exceptions to the scope of accessibility regulations

- External booking systems: The integration and use of our external booking platform is handled by a third-party provider. We have no direct influence on the accessibility of these systems.
- Map services: We use content from external providers (e.g., Google Maps, Outdooractive, Komoot) to display hiking and cycling tour suggestions. These external map applications are outside our direct area of responsibility.
- Social media feeds: Embedded content and feeds from third-party providers (e.g. Instagram) are integrated automatically and cannot be made technically accessible by us.
- Archived content: Content published before September 23, 2018, which is held exclusively as archive material, is exempt from the accessibility requirement.
Accessible alternatives
For our non-accessible content, we provide the following accessible alternatives:
- Personal advice: Our staff are available to provide information, take bookings and answer any questions you may have by phone, email or on-site.
- Individual booking assistance: Guests who require assistance with online booking can also make their reservation directly with our hotel team by phone or email.
- Information in alternative formats: We are happy to provide content from PDF documents (e.g. event programs, offers, menus) in alternative formats (e.g. printed format) upon request.
- Advice on leisure activities: If required, we can provide guests with individual information on hiking and cycling tours, AlbCard services or excursion options by telephone, email or on site.
Evaluation method
The accessibility evaluation was carried out as part of an internal self-assessment based on the requirements of BITV 2.0 and Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
Both manual tests and supporting automated testing tools (e.g. PDF Accessibility Checker for PDF documents, manual screen reader tests and visual contrast tests) were used.
The audit was carried out with the involvement of external expert advice.
