When a hotel has been run by the same family for more than 250 years and across nine generations, it can be called a success story.
Their origins lie in the mid-18th century, when stagecoaches between Stuttgart and Lake Constance would stop in Ödenwaldstetten—presumably to change horses and cargo, and certainly also to refuel, perhaps even to spend the night there. Thus, hospitality skills emerged and developed, which were inherited and passed on.
Today, two hundred and fifty years later, the Speidel family runs one of the most successful family-run seminar and meeting houses in southern Germany with their hotel Speidel's BrauManufaktur and also offers a unique experience space with a sustainability guarantee with the experiential BrauManufaktur.
The secret to their success lies in this combination and the continuing family tradition. Speidel's place their craftsmanship and the workspace offered by the historic property entirely at the service of conference organizers.
The conference rooms impress with their authenticity – located in the rooms of the historic brewery, they are not only called "Malt Warehouse," "Fasswichs," "Schalander," and "Schroterei," but also reflect the historical structures and original functions. Of course, conference participants don't have to forgo working comfort – the building offers modern presentation and communication technology, the rooms are ergonomically furnished and equipped, and all have natural light.
The historic hotel section is complemented by a lodging building built in 2005 – a harmonious contrast that draws its fascination from modern architecture, linear lines, exposed concrete, and the use of light woods.
But what would a conference stay at this establishment be without tasting the brewery?! Brewing seminars are available in three categories – moderated, and guests are involved in the process.
The kitchen expertly uses regional products – for example, to create Swabian classics.
Hosting today has been expanded: the business is part of the "Biosphere Hosts" cooperation.
